It wasn't on my registry but I was happy to have it nevertheless. My husband and I eat sandwiches a lot and this griddler made my life so much easier. 2 sandwiches could fit and it takes only a couple minutes to get those perfect grill marks on the bread. The item is stainless steel (as the description describes) but the base of the product is a hard plastic - although durable enough to handle the job of heating sandwiches I didn't expect to see the use of such materials.Otherwise, it did make panini's as one would expect. Clean-up was easy and the product functions as advertised. I hope that Cuisinart isn't inching its way towards using less durable materials to increase their profit margins. |
