At least her grill is. I had this Grill two days. I thought "what a great deal to have a sandwich maker AND a Panini Grill in one!". I made a Panini sandwich which was great. That night I stayed up late to make special sized bread rolls for this grill. The advertizement boasted of using it has a grill for burgers. While waiting for the bread to rise, I grilled two small burgers. I noticed burger juices had run under the grill to the heating elements. No problem said the Advertisement. Just clean all inner parts when unit is cold. I carefully cleaned it with a sponge. Got up this morning with Panini bread and fixings. Plugged her in. Hannah Montana did not light up. she was as cold as a dead mackerel. No lights, no heating. I shook her but Hannah was to sing. err, grill no more. I paid for a show which was cancelled. Her brightly decorated box was to become her final resting place. This item turned out to be a more plastic looking than I expected. I will order a Cuisinart Sandwich Maker as well as it makes a different type of sandwich. I would say it is a bit overpriced for the quality. However, it did do a great job of making paninis and the plus compared to Cuisinart is that it has removable plates so it is easier to clean. I do not regret purchasing this item. I just wish the quality was slightly better or the price lower since it is actually costs a dollar or more than the Cuisinart. There was no packaging problem, so I have to assume it was packed as a damaged item; one side of the machine is crushed in. As I needed the cooker immediately for a party, I decided to keep. It seems to work fine though I would recommend a guard be purchased if available as quite a bit of grease is splattered. Even though most thermal coffee makers had many good reviews, there were too many negatives for each. I am very happy with this on so far. I have not had any of the problems as with other types -- coffee is hot, stays hot for quite some time, doesn't leak, easy pouring and cleaning, the coffee is good with not plastice taste, carafe fits properly. It does beep when the coffee is done brewing. Compact size is nice. I have not used the timer and probably never will. The best part is that there is a 3 year warranty -- I hope it lasts that long!
