1.0 out of 5 stars Huge Disappointment, July 5, 2011
This review is from: Food Network 4-in-1 Grill and Griddle
I bought this for my husband during the time we were living in an apartment because I knew he would miss using his grill all the time. I bought it at Kohls for over a hundred bucks and was so excited to bring it home and try it out. It was so disappointing to see how things slowly got worse over time with this grill. First things were fine. I have to say that we're absolutely meticulous about how we care for our belongings, in particular "foodware," but even my obsessive amount of OCD couldn't help this grill out. The first problem that happened was that one of the included cups melted from the hot grease and proximity to the grill. I couldn't believe it, the cup literally melted. The next thing that started to happen was that no matter how much we cleaned the grill after we were finished, there would always be a certain amount of grease that got into the base of the grill and would not/could not be cleaned away. This is even after you unscrewed the base, a hassle and unrealistic... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Grill/Griddle/Panini Press, October 13, 2011
This review is from: Food Network 4-in-1 Grill and Griddle
I don't neccessarily like kitchen gadgets. Slow cookers take too long, and deep fat friers make too much mess. And of course the health issue is obvious with deep fat friers. Quesadilla makers are just a little ridiculous. And the list of useless kitchen appliances goes on. But there is little more you can do to make a sandwich better, than to press it and grill it. So I hunted down a grill that would do just that.
My first choice was the highly rated Cuisinart GR4N 5 in 1. Some said it was too big, and others said it was too small. As far as I'm concerned, if it's on my counter, it had better be doing something good no matter how big or small it is. It's taking up valuable temporary real estate in my small galley style kitchen. However, I feed a family of four. Two paninis at 6:00 and two paninis at 6:20 doesn't make for the type of dinner gathering we'd hope for, so I wanted something that would fit all four sandwiches at the same time. Seeing the Food Network grill next to the... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy and Cheap!!!, August 22, 2011
Terrific Trish (Atlanta GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Food Network 4-in-1 Grill and Griddle
I am extremely disappointed in this grill from food network. I totally expected better quality. It's SS plated, so it's very flimsy. The grill plates are thin. So thin I could see them breaking very easily.

The one I bought wouldn't even match the top/bottom up properly, so I don't imagine it would cook anything on the waffle or griddle very well.

After waiting 10 days for it to get to me via UPS.....It's going back to the store tomorrow. (kohls)

Expected much better quality from TFN. I will be checking out the ones by Wolfgang and George at the store tomorrow.
