I use a hard anodized grill pan on my stove top to grill chicken, fish and vegetables several times per week. The ridges on the grill pan make it somewhat time consuming to clean. I came across this brush last November and thought I would give it a try. Wow!!! I'm so happy that I bought this. Once I'm finished cooking, I pour some water into my hot grill pan and use this brush to quickly loosen all of the stuck-on food. Of course, you can use the same technique with a spatula, but the design of the brush makes it fit perfectly with the ridges of the pan and speeds up the process to just a few seconds. Later, I use the brush with dish soap to finish cleaning the pan in the sink in a quick minute. I was so impressed with the ease of use that I ordered one for my mother. She loves it, too. We purchased this brush to use on cast iron and anything else that might be difficult to clean but were concerned that it would be difficult to clean. It's not. It washes beautifully.It works pretty well on cast iron, although it's a little difficult to get into some of the edges. We decided that the very stiff bristles might damage anything that is non-stick so won't use it on any of those items. It will work great for some of the items we use on our barbecue grill. If you're considering this item, please purchase it for use only on items that don't have non-stick coatings and know that it's a great help for cleaning cast iron. If the bristles were a tiny bit longer I would have given it 5 stars. |
